Lord Bledisloe at Massey College

Lord Bledisloe at Massey College

Pranks have long been a part of student life and New Zealand’s agricultural colleges have a particular reputation for them. Here, students from Massey College form an unofficial guard of honour for Governor General Lord Bledisloe on his visit to the campus in 1930. Lord Bledisloe had a prominent nose and a moustache – several of these students are wearing a false nose and moustache.
