Battle at Moremonui

This image depicts the battle at Moremonui, Northland, around 1807–8 between Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Whātua. It was the first battle where muskets were used. Although Ngāpuhi had muskets and Ngāti Whātua had none, Ngāti Whātua were victorious.
