Leaders’ debate, 1984

The 1984 election campaign culminated in a televised debate between National Prime Minister Robert Muldoon and Labour leader David Lange, from which Lange emerged the clear victor. In this video clip Lange tells Muldoon that he and the National Party will still have a contribution to make to New Zealand's recovery after Labour wins the election.
