No materials are out of bounds for jeweller Lisa Walker, who creates pieces from everyday objects as well as precious metals. Walker trained at the Otago Polytechnic School of Art in the late 1980s before moving to Australia and later Germany. She returned to New Zealand in 2010. That year Walker won the prestigious Françoise van den Bosch award, an international jewellery prize awarded every two years.
This necklace is made from plastics, ceramics, lacquer, glass, aluminium, thread, copper leaf, pearls, silver and gold.
