Mary Joseph Aubert’s remedies

Mary Joseph Aubert’s remedies

Perhaps the most well-known missionary in New Zealand was the French Catholic nun Mary Joseph (Suzanne) Aubert. She made an immense contribution to the welfare of Māori and Europeans, working also as a teacher and nurse. In her work with Māori she became interested in using their traditional herbal medicines, some of which were available for sale, as shown here.
