John Danforth Greenwood, painted by Sarah Greenwood

Sarah Greenwood recorded her experience of pioneer life in the Nelson district from 1843 in numerous paintings and drawings. In 1852 she painted portraits of family members, including her husband, John Danforth Greenwood, to send to her mother in England.
