Baptist Sunday-school procession

A wave of banners, bonnets and best suits flows up Brooklyn hill, above Wellington, in a Baptist Sunday-school procession in the early 20th century. Many parents in this period regarded Sunday school, which combined religious education with social activities, as an essential part of childhood.
