Emission survey

In Auckland in 2003, scientists monitored pollutants from the exhaust of passing vehicles. Emissions were rated ‘good’, ‘fair’ or ‘poor’, and the ratings were displayed on a sign for drivers to see. A small proportion of cars were responsible for producing most of the pollutants.
