Radioactive minerals

Radioactive minerals glow (or fluoresce) under ultraviolet light. This collection, made by the late Ken Pepperell, is on display at Coaltown, Westport, and includes samples from New Zealand and overseas. The green mineral is willemite, and the red mineral is franklinite.
