Pārengarenga Harbour

Pārengarenga Harbour

Pārengarenga Harbour is the northernmost estuary of New Zealand and one of the country’s major wading-bird habitats. At low tide, 5,700 hectares of intertidal sandflat and seagrass are exposed to the thousands of wading birds that congregate in the harbour to feed.
