Kōrero: Arts education and training

Manukau Institute of Technology

Manukau Institute of Technology

Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) offers certificates, diplomas and bachelor degrees in the creative arts, and students can specialise in visual arts. When Kamanee Naidoo, pictured, first enrolled in the visual arts course she wanted to be a painter, but discovered a love of sculpture during her studies. Her sculptures were exhibited at Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts in Manukau alongside the work of five other MIT students in 2010.
