Wellington gymnast Mark Holyoake performs on the pommel horse, traditionally used only by males, during the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He was placed 11th in this event. At the following Commonwealth Games Holyoake was part of the New Zealand team which was placed 4th. In 2009 he peformed 65 rotations on the pommel horse in 60 seconds, setting a new world record.
