Naenae versus Railways, 1958

A runner slides into home plate during a women's club game between Naenae and Railways at Lower Hutt in 1958. Lower Hutt was the birthplace of softball in New Zealand, thanks to the promotion of the sport by Canadian Bill Wilson, manager of the local Ford Motor Company plant.
