Tasman pulp and paper mill, Kawerau

Wood products derived from exotic trees, almost entirely pine (Pinus radiata), are also significant exports. Kawerau in the Bay of Plenty is dominated by this massive plant processing wood from the surrounding forests into pulp, board and paper.
