Coolest little capital

Coolest little capital

Wellington’s quality of life – the city’s casual yet increasingly cosmopolitan atmosphere, and its position as the capital of an attractive South Pacific country – qualified it in 2011 to be named the ‘coolest little capital in the world’ by travel publisher Lonely Planet. The description has been popularised with some degree of pride.
