Linda Rebekah Lodge

Linda Rebekah Lodge

Officers of the Linda Rebekah Lodge in Roslyn, Dunedin, pose for a photograph wearing their regalia about 1895. The sole man in the back row is probably an official of the affiliated men's Oddfellows lodge. Women-only lodges gave their members monetary benefits in case of sickness or injury, a form of support that was very attractive to working women.
