While Māori and Pacific people are over-represented in negative health statistics, they are under-represented in health professions. Dr Lily Fraser (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Māmoe and Waitaha) graduated from the University of Auckland’s School of Medicine and became a general practitioner.
