Nelson beaches: Tāhunanui campground

Tāhunanui has long been Nelson’s main beach – it is close to the city and slopes gently. The campground immediately behind the beach fills up in late December each year. These recent arrivals are unpacking and settling into their tents at Christmas 1943.
