Early pharmacy, Wellington (1 o 2)

Early pharmacy, Wellington

In the 19th century pharmacists often mixed their own medicines. This meant that they had a large collection of ingredients on site. This pharmacist is mixing a medicine at the counter in front of his customer. The large sign at top left shows that he offered dental services as well.
