New Zealand-based Pacific churches have been more open to change than some of the churches with a parent church in the Pacific Islands. Within Protestant churches this has included ordaining women as ministers. Here Archdeacon Taimalelagi Fagamalama Tuatagaloa-Leota celebrates the Eucharist at a memorial service to victims of the 2009 Samoan tsunami, held in the Ekalesia Agelekana (Anglican church) in Māngere, Auckland.
