Marching to victory

Marching to victory

The Inglewood Vanguards marching team strut their stuff at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, in the 1950s. In the late 1950s and 1960s the Vanguards were one of the country’s premier teams, and in 1958 they won the New Zealand Championship. Their instructors, Bernie and Mary Plumb, became national administrators of the sport.
