A school patrol

A school patrol

Eleven-year-old Pascal Saker stops traffic while children cross the road near Kelburn Normal School, Wellington, in 1990. School patrols began in 1938 and are a familiar sight at the beginning and end of the school day, helping children cross busy roads near schools safely.
