Packhorses

The only way to get food or equipment to the more remote parts of a hill country property was by packhorse. The packman, who knew how to properly arrange a load on a horse, was a valuable member of any mustering gang or station staff. These packhorses are loaded and ready to go at Cloudy Range Station, Amuri, South Canterbury.
