Transporting farm goods

Burnett’s Motors serviced the rural hinterland of Ashburton, Canterbury’s second-largest town. Carting agricultural products and equipment by road began first with horse and wagon. Later, traction engines were used to haul heavy goods. In the 20th century trucks like this took over.
