In his circumnavigation of New Zealand, James Cook landed at many points. A large number of these sites, from the Bay of Islands in the north to Dusky Sound in the south, are marked by memorial plaques, and there are statues of Cook in Gisborne and Christchurch. Sites of plaques and memorials are shown on this map, as are places with a Cook Street.
