Conservation poster

As New Zealanders increasingly used the beach for recreation, there was growing concern about pollution of the coastal environment. This 1977 Conservation Week poster by Eric Heath sought to show that the beach could not simultaneously be used for dumping sewage and for the enjoyment of nature.
