Royal coat of arms in the New Zealand Gazette

Despite the fact that a New Zealand coat of arms was formally adopted in 1911, the royal coat of arms continued to be commonly used in New Zealand for the next 35 years. Here it appears on the masthead of the New Zealand Gazette in December 1946.
