Accounts of the renowned composer Mihi-ki-te-kapua differ from tribe to tribe in the central North Island. This 2011 episode of the Māori-language TV series Waka huia refers to her famed lament 'Engari te titi'. Neuton Lambert (Ngāi Tūhoe) explains that Mihi-ki-te-kapua wrote this song after a battle which left her living alone on a remote shore of Lake Waikaremoana.
