Bleron Fusha, the first New Zealand-born Kosovar, celebrates his birthday with his mother Mevlude, father Jahja and sister Liberta. The name Bleron is Albanian for ‘new beginning’ and symbolises the hopes of the Fusha family and others like them who arrived in New Zealand in 1999 as refugees from their war-torn homeland.
