In 2004 exports from the primary sector were still very important; but there was a great variety of fruits, forest products and fish alongside the old staples. Among the most successful of the fish exports was frozen hoki. Hoki is a deep-sea fish which, as this video clip shows, is caught and prepared in a highly sophisticated operation.
