Whenuapai airport

By the mid-1960s new airport facilities were needed in New Zealand. The overcrowded passenger terminal at Whenuapai airport in Auckland is depicted in this cartoon of September 1965. Two months later, operations transferred to the new Auckland International Airport at Māngere.
