One of New Zealand’s longest-running television programmes is Country calendar, a documentary series on rural and farming life, which has been screening since the 1960s. Its continuing popularity suggests that even though most viewers are urban dwellers, they still feel an affinity with country life and values. This clip from the programme shows a farmer and his dog mustering a herd of sheep.
