Rabobank farmers of the year

Abe and Anita de Wolde won the 2008 Lincoln University Foundation Farmer of the Year Award for innovative dairy practice on their Southland farm. Rabobank, a sponsor of the award, is an agricultural bank from the Netherlands, which has operated in New Zealand since 1997 when it purchased Wrightson Farmers Finance. The de Woldes themselves came to New Zealand from the Netherlands in 1990.
