Carting grass seed

Cocksfoot grass seed was grown on Banks Peninsula to help develop North Island grassland farms between the 1890s and early 1900s. This bullock-drawn wagon, laden with sacks of seed, is on its way to the Little River railway station south of Banks Peninsula.
