Timeline of Māori newspapers

This timeline shows the dates that Māori-language newspapers were published. The earliest such papers were government publications, with an increase in Māori-owned newspapers towards the end of the 19th century. In the first three decades of the 20th century there was a mix of Māori-owned and church newspapers.
