Ka whakaatu te mahere nei i ngā rohe o ngā iwi o Tainui. Kua hurihia te mahere kia hāngai ki te titiro a te Māori ki tōna ao. Kitea ai ngā tauranga o Tainui me te ara i haerea e ia. Ko te awa o Mōkau i Taranaki te paenga ki te tonga; ko Tāmaki-makau-rau te paenga ki te raki. Kīia ai a Tāmaki, ko te kei o te waka, ko Mōkau te tauihu. Kei roto i te rohe ngā tāone o Te Awamutu, Kemureti, Kirikiriroa, Rāhuipōkeka.
