First Country calendar programme

Country calendar, the first New Zealand-made rural information TV programme, made its debut on 6 March 1966 and was still running in 2022. At first, the show had a lot of studio interviews, but it soon became more informal and lively, with footage of farming activities and comment from farmers. Watch part of the first episode of Country calendar.
