Ka whakaheke a Te Āwhiorangi i roto i ngā tātai ariki, taka rawa iho ki a Turi, rangatira o runga i a Aotea, te waka kawe i ngā tūpuna o Ngā Rauru me ētahi atu iwi ki Aotearoa. Ko Te Āwhiorangi te toki nāna a Aotea i auaha.
