The Royal Society of New Zealand

The Royal Society of New Zealand

The Royal Society of New Zealand is an advocate and funder of science research. In 2008 it received carboNZero certification. This means that the organisation’s carbon emissions were measured and then a plan was made to manage and reduce or offset them (for example by planting an area in trees). For an organisation such as the Royal Society, which funds research into global warming, it is important to be seen to be doing something about the issue.
