Kōrero: Ngā whakahaerenga ā-iwi
Ko te ingoa o tēnei tānga whakairotanga, ko ‘Tu Kaitote, the pā of Te Wherowhero on the Waikato, Taupiri mountain in the distance’. I tauirahia mai tēnei tānga nā te pikitia i tāia e George French Angas i te tau 1844. Kitea ai ngā whare o roto i te pā, e tū tōpū ana i ngā tahataha o te wharenui kei waenganui. Kei waho o te pā e tū mai ana ngā tūwatawata.
