He tapawhā te hanga o tēnei rua kūmara, he tuanui hoki. He mea keri ngā rua kūmara ki roto i te whenua kia noho mahana ai, kia kore ai e pirau. Ka rere iho te ua i te tuanui ki ngā kōrere (taha matau). Mō ētahi, kei roto kē te kōrere i te rua.
