Distribution of sulphur-crested cockatoos, galahs and eastern rosellas

Click on a species name to see its New Zealand distribution.

The galah and sulphur-crested cockatoo can only be found in isolated parts of New Zealand, but in the North Island eastern rosellas are now quite widespread around the Wellington region and north of Taupō. In the South Island there is one isolated population close to the Otago Peninsula, where they were released about 1910.
