Lorde, The love club EP

16 year-old Aucklander Lorde (Ella Yelich-O'Connor) released the five-track EP The love club EP in 2012, and became an international sensation. Her song 'Royals' hit the number one spot on the American Billboard Alternative Songs Chart in 2013, and she followed this up with number one on the Billboard mainstream chart later that year. Her full-length album Pure heroine was released in September 2013. In 2014 Lorde won two Grammy awards for song of the year and best pop solo performance for 'Royals'.
