Railways dinner, 1974

New Zealand Railways moved with the times, and by the 1970s provided wine with dinner for long-distance passengers. The sparkling wine – Marque Vue – was cheap and popular, and its sweet, fruity taste appealed to New Zealanders. Marque Vue production was discontinued in 2001.
