Selling wine by the no-licence boundary

Selling wine by the no-licence boundary

In 1908 laws were passed banning the sale of alcohol in electorates that voted for prohibition – these became no-licence areas. Corbans winery was located just inside the boundary of a no-licence area (marked by the railway). The family built a small depot across the railway track from their wine cellar and sold wine legally from it.
