A can-do carrot

A huge carrot welcomes visitors to Ōhakune, reflecting the importance of carrot growing to the local economy. The eruption of nearby Mt Ruapehu in 1995 led cartoonist Tom Scott to ponder another possible use for the giant vegetable.
