Story: Whanganui places
Information about the river steamers and the accommodation house at Pipiriki are shown on the back of Hatrick and Co.’s 1912 timetable. ‘Best brands of liquors’ were for sale on the boats, and the accommodation house at Pipiriki was advertised as having 'every modern Comfort and Convenience, with Electric Light, and up-to-date Sanitary Arrangements, Hot and Cold Baths'.
