Story: Wairarapa region
The Museum of Childhood in Masterton showcases children’s toys, books and games. This is an exhibit of playground games, including a skipping rope, spinning tops, knuckle bones and marbles. A school milk bottle recalls the period (1937–67) when every school child received a daily half pint (300 millilitres) of milk.
