Story: Volcanic Plateau region
Opening at Taupō in 1991, this was the first cliff-top bungy jump in New Zealand. It exploits the cliffs formed by the Waikato River cutting into soft volcanic rocks, a couple of kilometres below its exit from Lake Taupō.
