Story: Exhibitions and world’s fairs

Wellington Industries Fair, 1959

This National Film Unit production on the Wellington Industries Fair illustrates how such fairs were a showcase for local manufacturers and promoted public interest in the latest 'mod con'. Industries fairs also provided good entertainment for the family during the school holidays and offered all the attractions of summer shows such as candy floss, sideshows and slot machines.
